How do I apply?

You can apply on our website and submit your application to fhc@tmo.com. If you are coming as a CGSC Student please complete the same application, and turn in to FHCStudent@tmo.com

Do I need orders to apply?

If you are an Active Duty service member, orders are required to submit an application.

I’m a civilian, do I qualify for on-post housing?

Civilians can live on Fort Leavenworth and must pass a background check in order to live here.

How much is rent?

Rent starts at $1,350.00 with utilities included, less Wi-Fi and cable, and goes up in price from there. Please speak with a housing coordinator about specifics.

Are there ADA homes on Fort Leavenworth?

Yes, there are ADA homes on Fort Leavenworth.

What are your Community Management Office hours?

Can bachelors live on-post?

Bachelors and geo-bachelors can live on Fort Leavenworth.

Can someone besides my DEERS verified dependents live with me?

Residents of the home must be on your DEERS verified dependents form if you’re an active duty service member.

How many pets can I have?

You may have up to four approved pets in the home. Each pet is a $250 deposit.

What pets are prohibited/restricted?

Are utilities included?

All utilities, except for Wi-Fi and cable, are included.

Is lawn care included?

Lawn care is included. The resident is responsible for what is inside their fenced-in yard.

What school will my children attend?

Who are the cable providers in the area?

Spectrum Cable and AT&T.

Can I have a home business?

Home based businesses are encouraged on Fort Leavenworth. Please reach out to Fort Leavenworth MWR to begin the process.

I’m a civilian, can I go to the commissary?

No, only active-duty military, disabled veterans, first responders on post, and military retirees are eligible to shop at the commissary. Military personnel and civilians can shop at the PX, but only with a valid CAC card.

Do I need renters' insurance?

Renters insurance is required with a minimum of $100,000 liability.

Is there a self-help store?

Self-help is located at 800 West Warehouse Road, Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027. Their hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

It’s winter, do I clean off my own driveway? Sidewalk?

It is the resident’s responsibility to clear snow and ice from their driveways and sidewalks.

Do you offer temporary housing?

Temporary lodging is not currently offered.

Can I have a roommate?

Bachelors and geo-bachelors are allowed roommates.

I’m a civilian, do I need to register my firearms when I move on base?

All firearms must be registered if you’re a resident of Fort Leavenworth. Please contact the Visitors Center at
